5 Things You Can Do to Jump-start Your Creativity
Some very good pointers over at the ASMP blog. I’ve started to shoot more film again just for
that. It gives me a different connection with photography than digital. It’s tough to hide under
that black focusing cloth in 100 degree weather, but the process itself is quite satisfying.
Now, should you totally abandon digital for film? No of course not. This is not about one being
better than the other, it’s about how to re-connect with the medium itself. And if that helps
you to get the creative juices flowing again then so be it.
What are your ways to get more creative? Would love to see some comments.
5 Things You Can Do to Jump-start Your Creativity: “1) Shoot film. Because you won’t get the instant feedback of digital, you’ll have to use bits of your brain that have probably been dormant for a while.
2) Go look at other art. Museums, galleries, wherever you can find art. Think about the process of these other artists and compare it with your own.
3) Meditate. [...]“
